Privacy Policy

The short version
Flint is a local-first app. Your streams, markers, tags, and settings live only on your own device. There's no account to create and no server we send your data to.
What data Flint stores
Flint stores your streams, markers (timestamps, tags, notes), custom tag definitions, and topics locally on your device (on-device SQLite, via Drift). If you optionally connect a Twitch account, your access token is kept in your device's secure storage — nothing is synced anywhere else.
Chat connections are anonymous and read-only
Flint reads public Twitch and Kick chat anonymously to detect hype spikes — no login is required, and Flint never posts, follows, or acts on your behalf in chat. An optional Twitch login only auto-fills your stream's topic and start time; chat reading works the same with or without it.
Zero third-party analytics
Flint contains no third-party analytics SDKs, no advertising trackers, and no crash-reporting services that transmit your usage data. We don't collect telemetry about how you use the app, what you tag, or when you stream.
What we don't collect
We do not collect your stream footage, account credentials, contacts, precise location, or device identifiers for tracking purposes. There is nothing to sell, share, or leak — we simply don't have your data.
App store data
Apple's App Store and Google Play may collect their own anonymized install and crash statistics according to their respective store policies. These are governed by Apple and Google's privacy terms, not ours.
Deleting your data
Because all data is stored locally, deleting the app (and clearing its app data) removes everything Flint has stored. There is no server-side account to delete.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how Flint handles data, we will update this page and note the date of the change. The local-first, no-analytics commitment is core to the product.
