Open Stream Setup, give your stream a title and topic, then either connect to Twitch or Kick chat, or choose Manual Stream and enter your current elapsed stream time. Tap Begin Logging to open Stream Log, where the HYPE button and your pinned quick-marker tags are one tap away.

No — reading chat is always anonymous and read-only, no login required. An optional Twitch login just auto-fills your stream's topic and authoritative start time; you can skip it and enter both manually.

While connected to Twitch or Kick, Flint scores incoming chat in a sliding window — message rate, emote density, caps, and punctuation — and automatically drops a marker when a spike crosses the sensitivity threshold you set in Settings. A cooldown prevents re-firing during sustained hype.

If they land within a second of each other, Flint merges them into a single marker and keeps the tag you manually chose — your tap is treated as the stronger signal of intent.

You'll see a non-blocking status banner while Flint automatically retries with backoff. Manual tap logging keeps working the whole time, and the disconnect/reconnect is recorded as a gap in Review Log so downtime never gets mistaken for a highlight.

Yes. Flint ships with Funny, Clutch, Jumpscare, and Rage by default. Add your own under Settings → Tags & Colors — name, emoji, and color — and pin up to 6 as one-tap chips on Stream Log; unpinned tags are still assignable from Review Log.

Not yet — Flint logs precise timestamps, tags, and notes so you know exactly where to look afterward, but capturing and exporting the actual footage is handled by your own recording/streaming setup, not by Flint.

Yes — Manual Stream mode works with zero platform connection. You enter your current elapsed stream time at setup and log markers with taps only; auto-detection just isn't available in that mode.
